Documents and Information needed:
- Completed registration packet
- Non-refundable $50.00 registration fee
- Updated immunization/vaccination record
- Completed Physicians Report from the child’s doctor within 30 days of enrollment
- A Change of clothes, diapers, wipes, and a bedsheet, or one will be provided. Also, please read the Parents Handbook. There are some additional items needed for your infant or toddler.
- Notification to The Learning Box CEC of the current center or daycare in which your child is currently enrolled

- Infant Teacher: Must have a high school diploma or equivalent, 12-semester units in Early Childhood Development, 3 of those units being related to infant care, 6 months experience with children under the age of 6 years old in a childcare setting, and have the desire to achieve their diploma in early childhood education.
- Preschool and School-Age Teacher: Must have a high school diploma or equivalent, 12-semester units in Early Childhood Development, 6 months experience in a childcare setting, and have the desire to achieve their diploma in early childhood education.
- All aides must be 18 years of age, have a high school diploma or equivalent, 6 semester units in Early Childhood Development, and have the desire to achieve their diploma in early childhood education.
Infant Ratio:
- One Teacher: 4 Infants
- One Teacher & Two Aides: 12 infants
- One Teacher: 12 children
- One Teacher & One Aide: 15 children
- One Fully Qualified Teacher & One Aide: 18 children
- One Teacher: 14 children
- One Teacher & One Aide: 28 children
Infant Program:
- One Teacher or One Aide: 12 Napping Children and/or Infants
- One Teacher and One Aide: 24 Napping Children and/or Infants
Infant Program:
- Each child has his/her own crib to sleep in with linen
- Each child has his/her own personal cot with linens that are placed on the rug
In case of emergency i.e., power outage, flood, fire, we will relocate to our sister Center, Tee's Learning Care, Inc in Bixby Knolls/Long Beach Ca, where we will be safe. You will be given that address at the completion of registration.
- Yes, all employees have been background-checked and fingerprinted as per California Department of Justice Guidelines. You can find more information about those guidelines Here.
- Our Teachers and Aides are also required by the State of California to become a Mandated Reporter. You can find more information about being a Mandated Reporter Here.
We follow the guidelines set by the State of California for food and drink consumption in a child care setting. You can find more information about those guidelines Here
- We allow five vacation days that can be used anytime during the year.
- There are no refunds given for sick days or absences. There are no refunds, credits, or make-up days. If your child is out for two consecutive weeks due to an illness, you will be required to bring a physician's note. You are required to pay full tuition for the first week, and then you are allowed to pay 50% of the tuition for the second week so that we may hold your child's place. If your child is sick for more than two days, please call us. It is helpful, so we know that your child is ok.

- We strive to give every child all of our love, attention, and support.
- We do not strike, torment, belittle, or anger any child!
- We may have to put your child on a disciplinary hold. If that occurs:
- We will try every opportunity to talk with you.
- A letter will be sent home in notification of any and all behaviors.
- If conduct has not improved. Your child may have to be removed from The Learning Box Child Enrichment Center.
- Your child needs your support and encouragement in everyday activities.

- After contracted pick-up time the late fees are $5.00 every five minutes.
